The children really enjoyed taking part in all the exciting activities that happened during Book Week. They liked acting out stories with our visiting storyteller in assembly.
In Year One we looked in detail at the story 'Elmer' and did lots of activities linked to the story. The children loved it when mystery readers came to visit them each day.
Miss Sedgwick was so impressed with the children's reading this week she made them a special Elmer cake to say 'Well Done!'... it was absolutely delicious and didn't last very long at all!
Miss Prince also read us one of her favourite stories 'The tiger who came to tea'. We dressed up as characters from the story and then practised sharing foods from the story into halves and quarters to share between our groups. It was lots of fun!
